I had computer problems this week.  My Windows has gone belly up and I’ve had to reinstall a lot of applications and recall several backups.  It has caused a minor delay in the creation of chapter 4.  I have the computer working again and will have the next chapter out by Friday.

In the meantime I put together a motivational poster for you.  It is in the store under the other tools category.  It is a free bonus to my readers and you are welcome to give it to friends who would enjoy it.

When I saw this quote I realized that it would be a great poster with the right picture.  I searched and found this picture that really went with it.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

Today I added the third chapter of the ‘Mastering Your Quest - Limiting Beliefs’ e-book to the e-junky file.  This is the continuation of chapter two - Identifying Your Limiting Beliefs.  In this chapter we take the beliefs that we discovered in chapter two and work through a method to remove the emotional barriers that keep them part of your limitations.  I introduce an energy psychology method to remove emotional barriers.  You will use that method frequently in the upcoming chapters.  These exercises should give you a good tool to attack the emotional issues in your past.  This upcoming Friday I will be releasing the fourth chapter outlining how to fill the vacuum left by removing these beliefs with more empowering ones.

Just like chapter two I am releasing this chapter at only a dollar.  This is an important tool for getting your quest on track and I wanted everyone to be able to afford it.

Today I added the second chapter of the ‘Mastering Your Quest - Limiting Beliefs’ e-book to the e-junky file.  This is the continuation of chapter one - Understanding Limiting Beliefs.  In this chapter I outline methods of finding your limiting beliefs and include exercises to help with the process.  These exercises should give you a great handle on the beliefs that are holding you back.  I have a three prong method to examining the issues that are lurking in your sub conscious.  My method serves to bypass the emotional issues that normally hide those beliefs.  This upcoming Friday I will be releasing the third chapter outlining methods to release those beliefs that you found in the exercises.

Just like chapter one I am releasing this chapter at only a dollar.  This is an important tool for getting your quest on track and I wanted everyone to be able to afford it.

I wanted to let you know about the changes and coming changes in MYQ. First of all I have added Feed Burner to the site. Now you can subscribe to a feed of our postings. It should make it easier for you to keep up with the site. They also offer emailing of the posts. I am going to be setting that up too.

A bigger change is in the works. I am currently writing my first e-book on starting your quest. When I complete it, it will form the basis of an auto responder course to be available to my subscribers. This course will be the bonus for subscribing to my newsletters. I am currently planning week day issues and a weekend wrap up. I look forward to providing this service to keep everyone motivated on their path to achieving their quest.

The other idea in works is to update the template to a more lively energetic one. I am currently searching for one. If you have any suggestions please email me.

Everything evolves and you should too. As you learn more and experience more your views will change. Periodically, review your goals and make sure that you are on the proper path. You shouldn’t waver in your ultimate goal to achieving your dream lifestyle, but as you learn more you may want to fine tune the details. A quest is a growth experience. Expect that you may not end up where you initially thought. Your happiness should be the final result.

Zen DeBrucke makes the point in some of her talks that sometimes our passions are carrots that the universe uses to move us in a particular direction. She gives the example of a client that had a desire to move to another city. Zen helped her clean up all the issues that prevented her from moving. However, when all the issues were resolved the client realized that now with all the headaches gone, her desire to move was gone too. The issues had been too large to attack outright. The focus on moving gave her the energy to fix them. When the problems were fixed the need for moving left too. So the moral of the story is to keep following your passion but stay flexible. As you change your dreams may too.

Don’t start your business before you read this book

If you wander into the business book isle of your local bookstore you will most likely be overwhelmed by the number of books on business. It seems like every business topic has it’s own collection of books. That’s not really a bad thing but where do you start? My suggestion is the book that I’m currently reading now. That book is Michael Masterson’s new book ‘Ready, Fire, Aim’. It is Michael’s latest effort in transferring his knowledge on starting and running all sizes of business.

Michael Masterson is one of my writing and entrepreneurial heroes. He has started and run a magnitude of businesses. He was one of the creators of the American Writers and Artists Institute. Their curriculum is considered the standard for training direct response copywriters. He has written many books and is the editor of the popular newsletter ‘Early to Rise’. You will find a review of the newsletter in this blog.

This book covers the problems that businesses face at various points in their growth. Michael applies his experience to solving what he feels is their greatest challenges. I am currently reading the section on new businesses. As someone working to build a new business I found it really cut to the main problems I’ve faced. On his list of challenges, new businesses face the problem of creating revenue and making sales. He points out that before you start getting a building, buying office equipment, or looking at accounting software, you need to go out and find some customers. Any other effort is premature. Sell stuff and figure out a way to keep selling stuff. Could you get any more practical advice than that? That advice and other things in the book have really gotten me thinking about what I need to do to get my business rolling.

If your quest involves any business creation or expansion, you need to get a copy of this book. I really believe that you will see your issues in it and get some good advice on solving them. Many quests involve taking control of your finances and your time. Being in business for yourself is one solution for that. You cannot get much better advice than Michael gives in his books and newsletter. The book is available in the bookstores and the newsletter is free. So take a look at both and I’m sure you’ll learn something.
