A very important belief to maintain is ‘That every experience is pushing me toward my total success.’. I always work to keep that in mind. However sometimes it is harder to keep that belief than others. Today is one of those days for me. I’m starting to realize that my savings may not be up to the needs of my prolonged job search. I did not expect that. I have never been without a job for a long period before. Usually my skills and my luck would work for me and I would eventually find something. In any case, I always assumed that even if I couldn’t find a job, I could always create one. Well, it’s been two years and I haven’t been able to either match my old salary or obtain a livable salary. The problems of creating a job are a lot harder when you don’t have an income to help keep the lights on. Pretty much sucks.
So, what’s the moral here. Your quest is not always going to be easy. There will be challenges along the way. Some will be bigger than others. You will overcome them if you keep going. The path may not be linear however. Some days we have to backtrack a little. Sometimes life lessons need to be learned before you can move forward. I still believe in my total success regardless of the dark days. My quest is still valid even if the road is bumpy.
Many people want to hear that they won’t have any problems finding their dreams. That’s true for some people. For many more that is not the case. Joe Vitale spent some time being homeless. Stephen Pierce had a time when he slept in a friend’s office. They overcame those times and found their quest.
The current financial downturn could make this year a tough one for a lot of people. I want to tell you that you don’t have to give up your dreams when it’s tough. Sometimes the universe thinks we need a little temper to our steel. I know I’ll overcome this and still find my quest. You will too.

Well Done Talented Underling!
Today I got a compliment e-card from a card company called Rubber Chicken. They have a free program that sends you a card every week. Each week you get a card with some positive message from them. They of course try to get you to add your friends to their list and buy more of their services. That is little payment for this very neat gift. The cards are little animated cartoons with stories that end up giving you the message of the card. Their compliment series always ends with saying something positive about you. Honestly, the cards are great. The characters are fun and the dialog is cute. They really do brighten your day when you get them. I recommend them to everyone. It’s an email that you will enjoy opening.
I got one today and it got me thinking about compliments. Are we encouraging others enough? Being focused on one’s individual quest can be very narcissistic. Yes, we are working hard to make our lives better, but we are not the only one. We live in a society of very diverse people. Some are working to better their lives and some are just trying to stay where they are now. They are all striving for something and in most cases being unrecognized for their efforts. But that doesn’t have to be case. You can make a difference very easily. When you see someone doing something well, say something to that person. Many jobs in this world are thankless boring trials. Make a difference today by adding to the positive energy in the world. Compliment someone.
